The organosilicon material is a new-type chemical industry material withunique performance, having the properties of inorganic and organic compound.Because of its low surface tension and surface energy, various waterproof agentscan be prepared from organosilicon. Organosilicon waterproof agents can form aventilative waterproof film by reacting with the materials. Along with the vigorousdevelopment of road traffic and construction industry, waterproof additives withanti-slip function for building materials have extensive practical uses, so accordingto market demand, we prepared a compound organosilicon additive foranti-slipping, waterproofing and reinforcing of building materials, which wasmodified on the basis of organosilicon construction waterproof agents. At present, this kind of product has not been reported yet. The effect of surface modification ofsilicate by this additive was discussed through characterize evaluation and practicalevaluation, and the mechanism of anti-slip was also interpreted by research on therelation between electrical property of surface and its frictional force. The paperconsists of two sections:â… . In the first chapter, the applications of organosilicone to waterproofing ofleather, fiber and construction were introduced. The outstanding performance andwaterproof mechanism of organosilicone were also discussed. In the secondchapter, a new-type compound organosilicone additive for anti-slipping,waterproofing and reinforcing of building materials was prepared, and itscomposition and technology were described briefly.â…¡. In the first chapter, surface modification was introduced, and the methodsand principles of effect evaluation of surface modification were interpreted. In thesecond chapter, the modified silicate was evaluated characteristically by somemeasures such as sedimentation height method, surface contact angle method,infra-red spectrum method and DTA method, which all indicated that the silicatedid had been modified efficiently and the hydrophobic property of the modifiedone was greatly improved. In the third chapter, the modified silicate was evaluatedpractically through the determination of water absorption and freeze-thaw intensity, which indicated that the modified one had great waterproof and firm performance. In the fourth chapter, the effect on electrical property of silicate surface caused bythis compound organosilicon additive was monitored by electroosmosis methodcreatively. The relation between frictional force and electrical property of silicatesurface was also discussed. The results showed that the electronegativity of silicatesurfaces (such as granite) modified with this additive decreased with the increasedof its concentration, and the decrease of electronegativity resulted in the rise offrictional coefficient. This reach provided a cheap and reliable method forchanging frictional force of material surface, that is, changing its electricalproperty by chemical modification.
