Power grid is composed of electrical equipment components that connected together. These components can be described by their corresponding graph symbols. Power grid's structure is complex, but the components that compose it are extremely limited, therefore the graph symbols are also limited which compose the network graph. The main wiring graph uses the graph symbols to describe the electricity's generation, transmission, transformation and distribution relation as well as the topology relation. The main wring graph has already been widely used in the management, analysis and computation of power system. It has become an important auxiliary tool in the power system operating and management.Enlarged with the power grid's scale, its equipment quantity and types are increasing day by day, a mass of equipments urgently needs renewal quickly and accurately. The old graph plan way is difficult to meet the need of modern power grid's development. The computer graphics technology, object-oriented technology as well as the relation database technology used in the power system application provide an extremely good condition to enhance the plan efficiency of main wiring graph.Because the power grid graphics system has become an inalienable part of the power system automation, this thesis constructs an interactive power grid graphics system. It exhaustively elaborated the system's design goal, the overall structure and the function division, and then put forward a feasible solution to the essential questions of software development.At first, the thesis detailedly studied the content of computer graphics, put forward how to use computer to produce and display the graph; how to describe the object use computer graphics technology; how to manage and operate the graphics data; how to display and output the graph. Then this thesis detailedly introduced the core function module of the integrated system—graphics modeling, detailedly analyzed and designed the electrical network graph system. It also introduced the object-oriented technology, and use the object-oriented technology to describe the electrical equipment components, constructed the graphics class library. Based on the analysis of power grid graphics data, it saved the physical and geometrical attributes of components and all self-defining attributes data into the relation database, then constructed various kinds of rules from database to graph, realized the integration ofgraph and database.At last, under the guidance of the computer graphics theory, this thesis analyzed the composition of all kinds of electrical equipment component graphics, studied the algorithm of the component graphics. Combine the thought of object-oriented technology, it analyzed the functions of the power grid graphics system, set up the component model, designed and realized the classes of components; Based on the relation database technology, it studied the data parameter and structure which the system needed, realized a set of power grid graphics system with perfect function and friendly interface. The system adopts the philosophy of integration of graph and database, which can read-in some data automatically while drawing the graph. It set up the topological structure of the power grid automatically, therefore reduced the users' workload. Because power system's calculation is the foundation to ensure the safe operation of the modern large-scale power grid, so it is the guarantee of the equipment to excise the trouble and avoid malignant accident in time. Therefore the system also offering the data interface for the setting calculation, fault calculation, and emulation module, realized the automation of power system.
