Research Of Foodstuff Refrigerator Design Under The Theory Of Ergonomics

The development of domestic food industry advances the modern process of food cold chain. As an important role in the food cold chain, food cold storage has to come up with the modern situation of cold chain, continuously improve the function of cold storage, and improve the productive efficiency in cold storage to achieve the development. The traditional way of cold storage design concentrates on the ability of refrigeration, and pursues the optimized collocation of the cold storage's construction and the refrigeration system. But in the view of ergonomics, as a part of the production system, cold storage has to be connected with the operators, as embodies the match between operators and equipments, and also the harmony between operations and environment of cold storage. The operators' efficiency and safeguard in the cold storage seems to be more important, and thus the humanism care is required during the design.This paper analyzes the theory of cold chain and operation in the cold storage, and combines the operators' safety and comfort with the cold storage design by the use of scientific views and philosophic thoughts of ergonomics. These results provide scientific rules and criterion for cold storage and correlative designs.This paper analyzes the relationship between operation in cold storage and operators on the layers of physiology and psychology, and studies the influences on the operators by environment of cold storage on the layers of cold environment, air environment and poisonous substances. This paper further provides rules for the design of cold storage. Based on these rules, this paper analyzes such designs closest to operators as load unloads platform, door of cold storage, layout of refrigeration room, rack and guards, and provides the detailed plan respectively for each design. The purpose of this paper is to achieve the harmony between cold storage and operators by combining traditional design method with modem humanism thoughts.As designing the cold storage with modern humanism thoughts, the author also hopes to popularize ergonomics theory in each field of engineering design, and advance the development of engineering design in China through the spread of humanism design. To achieve the humanism care to operators in the field of engineering, the improvement of humanism consciousness in the whole society and great efforts are required, so the results and conclusions of this paper are very significant.
