CAD of hydraulic manifold block (HMB) is important content of CAD technology of hydraulic system. For the question that how to use HMB to acquire the optimizing scenario of layout and hole, HMB based on MDT has been developed by Dalian university of technology hydraulic staff room. Above the research, this paper researches and implements 2D layout auto- building in optimizing design system of HMB.The work includes the fellow content.in this paper.First, from the database of optimizing result, using the information of border length of HMB, center position, surface, diameter, type and so on of hole in 3D model, the data is prepared in the later work. The author researches in deep the knowledge of 3D geometry transform and algorithm of view transform. From theory of 3D projection transform, the author discusses and implements the building algorithm of views of HMB which can acquire the views of HMB in layout.Second, the author develops the auto-dimension algorithm in HMB's layout. For the 2D engineering drawing, a new thought of division of layout area was brought forward. The author sums up the auto-dimension ruler which solves the problem of dimension lines interference and drawing layout.Last, for the dimension question in engineering drawing technology, the author uses the opening database connection (ODBC) to design the auto-builder and develops the auto-filling function of title bar.The system is the most important component of HMB.From the research of 2D view auto-building, layout of views, auto-dimension, technology request and building of title bar and so on, the system can auto-build the 2D engineering drawing of HMB. The system uses ObjectARX Visual C++6.0 and has been further developed based on AutoCAD's MDT. In a word, System has stable function, friendly user interface and convenient operation.
