In recent years, the development of the automobile industry is rapid, automobile production and sales is in a high speed, vehicle replacement is also more and more frequent, and the body of the revision is the most obvious external manifestations. Body manufacturing technology mainly includes the stamping and welding, and die stamping process as the main producti on tool, has complex structure, many parts of the characteristics of, its design and production efficiency is manufacturing the main factors affecting body covering. At present, most of the enterprises in the country, in the body panel mold design is mainl y used in the direct modeling method, with a long time, repeated labor. Now mold design of a growing number of workers in the use of 3D design software in the process of gradually realized the reduce repeated design and improve the design efficiency and effective use of the necessity and importance of the accumulation of past design experience and design results, have the KBE technology is used to mold structure design, carried out the established parameters of die structure and standard parts library.Based on knowledge engineering and intelligent design technology, a large number of enterprise practical experience and knowledge are combined:1. To study the drawing die structure and structure were modular division, the association between each module and m odeling module were studied, so as to provide a knowledge source of rapid design.2. With the guidance of KBE and intelligent design technology, the modeling method and the fast modeling method of the template are summarized, which is the basic method of t he fast design.3. On the secondary development platform of UGNX software, established a framework of parametric design system of drawing die, language expression of general module and modeling method to strengthen the tendons, developed the two modules fast interactive design program, and verify the practicability.Parametric design system of drawing die is capable of rapid design of automobile panel stamping die, while providing effective interactive experience to guide, to extend the parametric design, improve the efficiency of die design. Practical application prove the design of the unit to a large extent reduce the mold design personnel’s labor intensity, improve the efficiency and accuracy of stamping die design, shorten the cycle of mold design, an d enhance the market competitiveness of enterprises, has very high practicability.
