Analysis On Danger State And Research On Reinforce Of Baiguohe Reservoir Projects In Hubei Province

Hubei province is a province that should pay special attention to the water conservancy. It has 5859 reservoirs (volume exceeds 100 thousand cubic meter), which includes 56 large-sized reservoirs and 232 medium-sized reserviors. The total number of large-sized reservoir and medium-sized reservoir numbered first nationwide. Since most of the reservoirs was built during 1958~1961 and 1966~1976. Many projects started simultaneously, fund, technology and labor force were not suited to the building size. The project during 1966~1976 even didn't take the project design, the construction rules and criterion into account. The reconnaissance, the design and the construction were carried out at the same time. Many factors of the design considered were not so reasonably and the construction quality was very poor. After many years of operation, the project aging is becoming increasingly serious, which resulted in many sick and danger reservoirs. It influenced the flood control safety of reservoirs and the realization of the benefits of the project.Based on the actuality of the BaiGuo River reservoir of the Hubei province, this paper made some research on the safety of the dam of the reservoir, it pointed out the existing sicknesses and dangers. It studies the dam foundation treatment, safety inspection and project management especially. It made some instructive advice on how to get rid of dangers and how to reinforce the dominating buildings such as ancillary dams. It provided many thoughts and methods on the analysis and research of the sick and danger reservoirs, the reinforcement design for reference.This paper was focused on the following perspectives and the conclusions are also showed below: Firstly, through the discussion of the stabilization, the seepage safety of the dam of the BaiGuo River reservoir, the first and the second ancillary dam, it concluded that the outlet of the main dam downstream may have seepage distortion problems, the back dome of the dam may not be able to resist slide sufficiently. The paper analysed the cause of the danger and made some suggestions on reinforcement measures. Secondly it checked the safety of the spillway, compared the two reinforcement measures: the gate control measure and the measure without gate control. It pointed out that the spillway should adopt the first measure. Thirdly, it brought forward the dam safety inspection method. Finally, base on the reservoir reinforce measure, it made economical analysis of the measure and checked its plausibility.
