Safety is the most important thing in running process of power plant because of the dangerous working medium. So it needs the worker must have rich knowledge and experience. The power plant has more higher parameter and capacity with the development of technology, the equipment and control system also became more complex. Its hard to maintain the safe running if the worker didn't have efficacious trainings. The simulator of power plant solve the problem in a long extent, it's can be a very useful and economic learning way for the worker.Conventional simulation systems can't achieve the best simulation effect because they simulate the control system either. A new method of simulation, named the virtual DCS simulation technology combines the simulation technology with control technology. In this way, the simulation system can employ mature control technology to solve some difficult problems long existent in conventional simulation systems.The new simulation system, Simpanel, is one of those systems, used the same software and hardware as the control system XDPS, so it combines with the control system by taking advantage of its advanced graphic configuration technology. In this paper we present this newly emerging field in simulation technology, we also completed the new system and use it to simulate steam-water system..1) The flow net model is the foundation of simulation system. Traditional simulator used to adopt Node-Pressure method to solve the coupling problem between pressure and flow in flow network. Therefore, in order to improve the performance of the simulation software, the paper presents a new model after analyzed Node-Pressure method and deduced the formulation of the flow net used in graphic configuration. The new model characterized by higher computation speed, easier modeling and debugging, more stability, has become a basic model of the new simulation system and a compensation for the deficiency of conventional simulation software.2) The steam-water system, which constitutes an important part of power plant system and thereby affects its running stability, generally is complexly structured, closely related to other systems and often made a difficult part for simulation by the complex thermo-system. This paper recommends a real-time dynamic Steam-Water System Model, which includes many mathematic modules such as drum, water-wall and single-phase heat exchanger, etc. on the basis of analytical study of the malfunction factors.3) This paper approaches the steam-water system by using modular modeling and graphic configuration method. The new model has been tested in numerical analysis and the static and dynamic characters of the modeling been studied with the help of Simpanel simulation system of Xin-Hua Control Engineering Co., Ltd.4) The result was applied in the actual simulator developing process in a 300MW power plant and gained excellent effect.
