Pump station renovation is a system engineering, which concerns many different processes and many aspects. Rationality of decision has direct effect of investment, running cost and final benefit of it. In my opinions, success of pump station renovation depends on rationally of its decision in great degree. Starting with the two aspects of the assessment of pump station aging and project decision-making, applying fuzzy theory and grey theory, the dissertation researches the pump station decision support system (DSS).The dissertation consists of the following six chapters.Chapter 1 presents purpose and meaning of the dissertation, the history and current situation of pump station renovation and DSS, and gives a brief introduction of the contents of the dissertation.Chapter 2 summarizes the preparing work and the renovation rules. And it analysis the main existing problems, then put forward the aim of renovation.Chapter 3 describes the fuzzy pattern recognition theory and module, and analysises the procedure application in the assessment of pump station aging.Chapter 4 describes the grey relational analysis theory and application in project decision-making.Chapter 5 introduces the DSS theory and analysis the procedure of the design of DSS at first, then designs the pump station renovation decision support system using VB and analysis the design idea, design rule, the total structure, the data base and its management system, the model base and its management system, the interactive user interface of pump station renovation decision support system.Chapter 6 summaries the whole research works of this dissertation and gives the suggestion of further researches.
