The thesis makes a detailed study on the key steps of simulation development of parallel hybrid electric passenger car, and focuses on the simulation development process of hybrid electric vehicle(HEV). First, a detailed overview on vehicle simulation technology is given, two models of the coaxial and non-coaxil parallel hybrid electric vehicles are analyzed, the transmission principles of powertrain system of coaxile parallel HEV are introduced. The author attempts to build the vehicle model of EQ7200HEV hybrid electric passenger car of combined series and parallel construction using ADVISOR, but the model is simplified to be a parallel one at last because of the complexity of verifying and rebuilding the interior simulink model. The author makes a preliminary analysis on the operation patterns and requires of powertrain system, which is the premise of defining control strategy. A simplified EQ7200HEV parallel hybrid electric passenger car model is built using ADVISOR, the author makes a detailed analysis on the modeling of vehicle's parts and control strategy. Second, after comparing and analyzing the characteristics of the torque management control strategy and parallel electric assist control strategy, the author gives a developed precept on the the latter one. Using this control strategy, the author makes the off-line parameters optimization, which could give decision clue on the control strategy parametric calibration and optimization, and reduce much time of control strategy calibration, save manpower and material resources. Finally, the author analyzes the parameters of parts, data of engine, motor bench tests and vehicle field tests. The results are compared to the advanced HEV abroad. The author also computes the efficiency of braking energy recovery of EQ7200HEV hybrid electric passenger car based on actual experimental NEDC (New European Drive Cycle) cycle data obtained from the chassis dynamometer. The results reveal that the efficiency can be largely improved. Based on the actual experimental data and results computed, the approach how to get more brake energy back is analyzed thoroughly. The author supplies some useful proposals on control strategy of real vehicle based on analysis of these engineering data. The work in this thesis is systematic. The research work has become a technical preparation of Dongfeng Electric Vehicle Co., Ltd and held highly practicality values.
