The insulation monitoring of power equipments is very important to guarantee thesafety of electrical power system. This thesis aims at developing common software formonitoring insulation condition of several power equipments. The whole structure of thesoftware and a database that can save, retrieve data are designed. Several ways ofmonitoring insulation condition of MOA and capacitive-type equipment are comparedand the proper methods are selected. Based on LabVIEW and USB DAQ Card, MOAinsulation monitoring subsystem and capacitive-type equipment insulation monitoringsubsystem are designed, which can calculate store and query multiple characteristicparameter. Through simulation and practical measurement, the design of the monitoringsystem obtains anticipated purpose.
