This thesis lays emphases on the following questions about the air conditioner load:1. Forecast the air conditioners load. The main factors influencing air conditioners load is the temperature and humidity changes. After recognizing that humidity can be divided into four different comfort levels, a multiple layer feed-forward neural network model is used to model the two dimensions impact of temperature and humidity. The results are compared to a numerically determined form. And four different comfort levels of humidity can give better representation of the nonlinear relationship between air conditioners load and weather conditions.2. Analyze air conditioners load characteristics and model of air conditioners load. Set0.6UN as the critical voltage. When U > Ucr, the air conditioners load is modeledas induction motor and constant-impedance. When U ≤ Ucr, a simple methodologyto represent stalled motor load in dynamic simulations was present. The methodology is using a constant-impedance model for stalled motors. But active and reactive power demands of stalled motor and the values of power factor are different with normal condition.3. The influence of air conditioners load on the problem of the short-term voltage stability is discussed. The results indicate the air conditioners load is a very important part to the power system voltage stability.
