This paper makes a systematic and in-depth study on the problem of timely water supply to the Yellow River through the East Line Project Diverting Water from South to North.Without affecting the general planning of the East Line Project Diverting Water from South to North, by the analysis of the plentiful or scanty water encountering of the Yangtze River, Huaihe River and Yellow River, the essay stresses the study on the possibility and potential of the timely water supply from the Yangtze River to the Yellow River, combined with the operation mode of the East Line Project Diverting Water from South to North. The effect and relative policy of timely water supply to the Yellow River through the East Line Project Diverting Water from South to North are studied, too. The aim is to provide technology support for relieving water resource loading pressure of the Yellow River, improving the ecological environment of the downstream of the Yellow River and preserving the healthy life of the Yellow River.
