Research On The Interface Between WMS And ERP System

WMS (Warehouse Management System) plays an important role in modern logistics system. The integration of WMS and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) will improve the automatization of enterprise information management and will organically associate logistics with manufacture, distribution, finance etc. Thus will improve the enterprise management and economic benefit.Data translation between heterogeneous systems is an important factor that will affect the development of enterprise information management. Its goal is to realize data sharing between heterogeneous data sources, so as to utilize resources efectively and attain high performance of the whole application system. But, there exist all kinds of conflicts of structural and semantic in data. The goal of data translation is to remove these conflicts. How to describe and remove these conflicts conveniently is very important to data translation.From the point of working principle and practical application, with the project's requirement of Shanghai MITSUBISHI, this paper utilize the technology of XML, BAPI and ADO to design a data translation Middleware which adopts the module program configuration. According to the real operation flow, this paper designs the data mapping chart and data translation protocol which will be used in data translation, and designs the program flow chart and program code to realize the fuction of the middleware.
