Computer Aided Process Planning(CAPP) is the bridge between Computer Aided Design(CAD) and Computer Aided Manufacturing(CAM), as well as one of the nuclear technology of advanced manufacturing. It confirms the manufacture process, necessary manufacture resource and process time of products etc. It plays a very important role on product quality, manufacturing cost and fast response ability to market. CAPP system functions have broken away from traditional function category,which only servers as process planning tool. Its functions are expanded into overall manufacturing process domain. How to support demand for diversification and complexity of product, as well as advanced manufacturing model and idea, is one of the key problems.Based on the analyzing and summarizing the status of domestic and oversea CAPP system, to satisfy manufacturing enterprise requirements for CAPP functions, this dissertation brings forward the concept of Cooperative CAPP supporting double language. This dissertation has also presented thorough study on some key technology, such as process language automatic translation, process workflow management, process Cooperative workout, process route selected and product Planning decision-making and so on. This dissertation main content is as follow.1. Starting with question which CAPP system is faced with and enterprise functions requirement to CAPP system, based on analyzing process language and structure characteristic of process files, it is put forward to bring machine translation technology and computer supported cooperative work technology into CAPP system. Taking practicality into account, a multi-strategy translation mechanism is put forward to translate process language. At last an automatic translation flow model is figured out.2. To realize multi-strategy translation mechanism, process lexicon database, process model database, translation memory database and process sentence snippet database are established. To solve the disadvantage of searching example process sentences slowly, a novel method which associates key word with sentence model is put forward to establish coarse choosing model marshal.
