On the basis of the characteristics of large quantity of current over short time or small quantity of current within long time in the irrigation requirement, the paper puts forward that one to two small quantity of current pump and speed regulation or frequency conversion devices should be used when designing agricultural pumping stations or improving their technology. Meanwhile, the pump elevation and the submerged depth of the bell mouth inlet should be designed according to the water level of the suction sump corresponded with one small delivery pump.In Shaanxi province, the components of the pumps in the pumping stations built to suck silty water resource have been badly abraded; besides, the diversion canals and the front cells have been seriously silted up. As a result, the pumps become less efficient and the outputs are much smaller. Based on a lot of investigations and achievements of other technicians, this paper brings forward a theory that when improving technology on vertical axial-flow pump stations which pump silty water resource, the above and below guide spindle bearing must be lubricated in clean water; the amount of water and hydraulic pressure must meet the sealing demand of the pump, and the water supply must be continuous. Moreover, thesuction sump had better adopt the scheme of single pump,single cell and single switch.The shape of the cells had better be circle or ellipse to reduce silt, then the condition of the pump infall can be further improved.As for technological improvements on high-lift and large-flow quantity pumps, according to the status that due to the exorbitant parameter of delivery lift and quantity of current, the components of the pumps in Dong Lei secondary pump station have been badly abraded, the paper suggests that the structure of the pump be adjusted to reduce the sing-stage suction lift, so that the circular motion speed of the vane wheel can be slowed down. Furthermore, using corrosion-resisting material is also quite necessary to ensure that pumps can function safely and dependably.The paper provides scientific academic and practical basis for technological improvements on large scale high-lift pump stations sucking silt water resource in Shaanxi province.
