As a new horizontal type of diaphragm in a structuralframe, in-site reinforced concrete hollow slab supported onwide-flat beams was introduced based on the analysis ofmechanics of reinforced concrete hollow slabs and wide-flatbeams in this thesis.Firstly, two kinds of reinforced concrete hollow slabs, which were vierended-sandwich-plates and ribbed hollow slabs, were studied on the base of theories and tests and conclusionswere drawn that the behavior of hollow slabs subjected tovertical loads was the same the as normal slabs, but detailsmust be emphasized.Secondly, joints formed by wide-flat beams and columnswere analyzed and the difference of mechanics betweenwide-flat beams and normal beams were shown, and failures ofwide-flat beams subjected to torques and failures ofouter-joints subjected to shears should be noticed. Finally, the design methods of reinforced concrete hollowslabs and wide-flat beams were provided with an application.
