Since the late of 1970s, geosynthetics have been applied to all kinds of projects ofreinforced soil more and more, for instance retaining wall, abrupt slope, embankmentproject, etc… Projects utilize resistcance of pulling of geosynthetics, by the use of frictionand obstruction between geosynthetics and the soil body. Having changed the distributionof the stress and displacement field within the reinforced soil, geosynthetics make theintensity and stability of the soil improved. So the interface characteristics of thegeosynthetics and soil directly determine the interior stability of the reinforced soil project. The interaction between the geosynthetics and soil becomes the most key technologicalsubject of strengthening mechanism of geosynthetics. In order to scientifically research interface characteristic of geosynthetics, we havedeveloped and drawn the testing machine large-scaly by oneself according to the testdemand for the geosynthetics, by the test this equipment can totally meet our request. This paper studies the interface characteristic of the geosynthetics of differentspecifications through pullout test under the different situations of soil property. The paperanalysed the impact on the result of reinforced of different soil property, especiallydisturbed layers of thickness and mechanism of destruction with reinforced soil. It alsostudied the different closely knit degree of soil body it to influence with reinforce result. Inaddition, the paper has divided the frictional force and horizontal rib obstruction. Thepaper provides the constructive suggestion for the production of geosynthetics and thereinforced soil engineering design through the study on interface characteristic.
