As people have growing expectations for the comfort degree of housing. And thehousehold typology directly affects the comfort of housing. Based on field survey andinvestigation of existing residence and with advertisement analytic approach as thefundamental tool, this paper analyzes the household typology of the comfortablehousing and commercial apartments in the 1990s and at the turn of the century inGuiyang. The paper also discusses the area standards of functional spaces andhousehold types in order to provide reference for the design and development of newhomes.
