| CAD(Computer Aided Design) and CAE (Computer Aided Engineering)is crucial methods for innovative design.Their application inengineering design has improved the quality of design greatly ,shortened the design cycle and reduced the cost.External gear pump has been researched,which is applied in wideindustry field.During the design of new product ,problems which can'tbe plotted by hand and 2D CAD are resolved by analyzing studying fruitsin home and overseas and using CAD/CAE.By Pro/Engineer and its strong power of parameterizedplotting,dentes of gear are plotted exactly and problems which onlyline or arc joggling involute can be used in CAD are solved.They areadvantageous to seriation and standardization of gear design.Gear pump's body and pressure on it is analyzed by the finityelement method in the paper. And it provides a theoretical basis foroptimization design of gear pump and makes its cubage smaller and itsconstructure more reasonable and efficient than ever.The methodresolves the problem that experience is depended on in the traditionaldesign.The research result in the paper possesses high value and widerange in engineering application and uses the method for reference tothe same problem. |
