With the advantages of light weight, high intense and strong ability to bear pollution flashover, composite insulators are widely used in the electric power system. Recent years, with the using amount of composite insulators increasing, flashover and damage accidents always happen on the composite insulators. In order to ensure the safety of electric net, it is quite significant to inspect composite insulators on line, master the running state and find the problems in time.The paper mainly study and analysis the influence factors of the hydrophobicity change, research the relationship of UV photons and leakage current of the 10kV composite insulator in the library and measure the 110 kV composite insulator by using the UV' imaging equipment, carry out nature contamination test in the library on the composite insulators which are picked up from locale, analyze the UV imaging characters and running state of the on-line comoosite insulator and summarize the new techniques and methods of performance inspection on the composite insulators.The outcome of research indicate that: high-damp environment, the pH value of wet settlement, the NSDD and ESDD value of the insulator surface all affect the hydrophobicity performance of the composite insulator. There is a corresponding relationship between the UV photons and the discharging state on the surface of the insulator. As a measure to inspect the corona discharge, UV imaging technique can be used in inspecting the property of the on-line insulator. According to the measure of the field by using the UV imaging technique, it can be concluded that we should pay attention to the weather and ray condition when inspect the corona discharge of the on-line insulator by using the UV imaging technique. |
