For a certain time researchers as regards climatic change revealed that the planet "Earth" is threatened by environmental degradation. The effects of this degradation are reflected negatively on the health of the alive beings, environment, natural resources, physical infrastructures, economic activities, food safety, etc..For example the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) estimated that 150,000 people died in 2004 due to climate-change-driven weather extremes. The Challenge of the twenty-first century requires that we make a transition to a new order of things that can be sustained within the limits of natural systems. Thus world conferences were organized to get a platform of strategies to reduce the greenhouse gases emissions which into large party are the origin of the destruction of the ozone layer.During the third conference held in Kyoto(Japan) in 1997,a protocol was signed .In this protocol, the developed countries and those in the process of development were committed taking measures which will make it possible to reduce the greenhouse gases emissions by 5.2% between 2008 and 2012 compared to the emissions already produced until 1990.Ail the intervening parties as regards activities being able to produce greenhouse gases should contribute to render livable our planet for us and for the future generations. As the various physical infrastructures are vulnerable to environmental degradations related to the climatic changes, the authorities, the designers, the constructors and the users of these infrastructures should always include the environmental aspect in their daily activities. In the housing domain, the well environmental design can not only insure the comfort and health of the users but also can reduce the energy bill by using the efficient materials and equipment. The human well-being is the common denominator of the environment, the society and the economyMethodological approaches for my thesis taskThe first part of my thesis task relates the theoretical procedures of a sustainable residential housing construction, energy efficient materials and equipment, and use method. The second part of my thesis task is a Research Project about the load calculations for the Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning of a Residence-Studio at Wuhan City.
