Prestressed concrete continuous bridge is a kind of bridge with large structure stiffness and large span capability, which develops very quickly and steadily in the past several decades. But because it belongs to indeterminate structure, the internal force state of invariable load have many varieties, structure states take on non-linear, construction states and shape states of bridge possess relativity, especially structure systems are transforming constantly in the construction phases, and consequently which will bring large influence of complicated internal force and displacement to bridge structure, these characteristics enable the simulation and controlling in construction state of long-span cable-stayed bridge to be important research project. 2-D or 3-D beam elements are adopted to simulate bridges by most of the softwares, which are not specialized for the construction process. The analysis of continuous bridge has been limited on 2-D for many years and only parts of bridge are analyzed by 3-D model. After the study and summerization of the former research, the construction controlling and simulation calculation of long-span continuous bridge are analyzed in-depth by the actual engneering example of Pan-Long bridge in Wuhan..Firstly, after the review of the present research on both domestic and abroad construction controlling technology and simulation methods, the basic functions and processes of applying the large general calculation software ANSYS to realize the strucural non-linear analysis are introduced. According to the analysis of continuous bridge' simulation process,the usage of birth and death element , concrete's creep calculation and the simulation for prestress are researched and discussed in detail.Secondly, based on the simulation calculation of Pan-Long bridge's construction process, the method of building 3-D FEA model with the application of solid element,3-D spar element to simulate concrete and prestressed reinforcement respectively are researched. The 3-D simulation is realized when each phrase of construction is simulated by corressponding FEA model with the usage of ANSYS's development tool APDL and element's birth and death function.The analysis results are compared with Midas' calculation and some tested results. Following items are included in the comparison: (1) the appropriation and application of the analysis results is proved;(2) stress distribution on any section and the stress state of box beam under complicated situation could be achieved by the 3-D FEA model, which indicates the significance of analysis;(3) subject's effectiveness and utility are also proved, which could be used to guide the construction controlling of PC continuous bridge.
