The steel silo applies in the agriculture, mining industry, the chemical industry, the electric power and so on for many domains dispersed material storage. Opposite to the traditional reinforced concrete silo, it has many merits such as the lightly deadweight of construction, the short cycle of construction, the quickly effective investment, the advantageous change craft of production and so on. Therefore in recent years in cement factory it is widespread used. But in this corresponding present situation is: As one kind of thin shell special structure, the complex stress situation and the traditional simple design method causes the silo accident often occurs. This article take the actual project as an example, has established a three dimensional silo model, simulated the steel silo under three kind of stress situation of adverse circumstances using finite element numerical analysis software ANSYS.First, in the steel silo design standard, the seismic function changes from the actual three dimensional structure into single dimensional question, and carries on the computation with the base shear method or the vibration mode combination method. This article uses the conclusion which the domestic correlation research obtains. In earthquake kinetic dispersed material opposite to the tube wall in the silo accounts for the total reserve amount 20%, simulates with fluid unit FLUID80.Through input of the EI-Centro wave, the model carries on the time interval analysis. The result had proven stored material cement's flow to the silo structure to have decrease of the function under earthquake function, and had pointed out structure position is easy to destroy under earthquake. Finally with this model the parameter, uses two computational methods in the standard to carry on the solution separately. Through contrast of the result, summarizes its respective good and bad points.Second, carries on the wind load static computation using ANSYS to the silo model. By the distortion, the stress distribution graph which leaves may see: The silo for storing and the yummy treats functional needing, can reserve hole in the peak of storehouse and its wall to maintain ventilating and feeding. In these position of hole, the rigidity is weak, should use the essential structure measure to strengthen.Third, uses hot shell unit SHELL57 to simulate the steel silo structure influence of the temperature change which the sun radiated. May know through the temperature - structure coupling analysis: In silo base and foundation attachment point, because the support restraint not to be able freely to carry on by the thermal deformation, the structure will have the temperature stress. Looking from the silo durable angle, the harm of this kind of distortion and the temperature stress cannotneglect.Taking the silo overall model as there search object using the finite element principle with shell unit, using the method of defining the solid constant to the shell, simulating the silo under adverse circumstance function structure behavior, can effective save the operation time. Moreover ,the computed result and the actual situation is also alike. Through contrast of the computed result with" Code for design of grain steel silos ", pointed out the week place in the Code , and proposed the solution, may supply in the structural engineering design to refer.
