Based on the analysis of practise and theoretical research on planning of waterfront landscape at home and abroad, this thesis points out the theory of landscape corridor, restoration ecology, watershed ecology, urban planning and design are the foundation of waterfront landscape planning at macro-scale dominion and mesa-scale dominion. Based on the source of Remote Sening (RS) image of Luoyang , by using the function of dealing with images and data of Geographic Information System (GIS) to produce the patches of landscape types. Finally, this dissertation puts forward the countermeasures and measurements for optimizing the landscape spatial pattern. The concrete results are as follows.1. Research on landscape character and landscape process of drainage basin. Firstly, analyses the landscape character of natural, biologic and cultural for Ti-luo drainage basin, the unique identity of terrain nature and culture was expounded. Secondly, through the researches on ancient climate and ancient geography of the Yi-luo drainage basin, and the transition city landscape as well, this paper points out the causes of the city's comedown are mainly that the breakage of the forest vegetation and the river shrinkage on the vast areas of lower reaches of Yi-luo river, which are resulted from unceased construction activities of palaces and capitals, as well as occasional war in the past dynasties.Finally, this dissertation summarizes the influence on Yi-luo waterfront landscape on account of landscape change, posts that region ecosystem service function was suffered , ecosystem health gets threatened just due to landscape change.2. Research on waterfront landscape spatial pattern based on Remote Sening (RS) and Geographic Information System (GIS ) . With the RS and GIS techniquesas the support, this paper sets up the landscape database of Luoyang city and Yi-luo waterfront, analyses the land use of Luoyang and landscape classification of Yi-luo river.
