Studies On DC Magnetic Biasing Of Transformer Aroused By HVDC And Geomagnetic Storm

While the HVDC run in monopole to ground operation, Current in the earth make the transformer that have different potential bring DC magnetic biasing.Geomagnetically induced current (GIC) induced by Geomagnetic storm have the frequency of 0.001~0.1Hz, which compare with the frequency of 50 Hz can be thought of DC, which also can bring the DC magnetic biasing in the grounded transformer.So,the project of DC magnetic biasing in the transformer is need to research.This article base the analyse of the harm to the transformer have the problem of DC magnetic biasing, discuss HVDC monopole to ground operation and GIC bring the DC magnetic biasing respectively. By software, developed to study the ESP and PSCAD make the simulation analyses on the GIC problems of 500kv power in Hunan;in the end bring forward some cure strategies.
