| Automobile door is an important assembly of structural complexity inautomobile body. It directly influences on riding safety, side visual field andconvenience. It is an important step in the procedure of car body general layout.Nowadays how to design the automobile door efficiently, accurately andintelligently, and to shorten design period are key points in the research ofautomobile design methodology. Therefore, to develop a special system for thedesign of automobile door is theoretically and practicallysignificant.Based on summarizing and analyzing auto-body interior layout, usingCATIA V5 software as working platform, using Visual Basic program languageand Home-Language in CATIA V5, employing the theories of Human-MachineEngineering and automobile door design, directed by the knowledge basedengineering(KBE) methodology, this project develops a special software of cardoor accessory layout and strutural systems.The system is divided into three modules, including the module of dooroutlining, the module of door layout and the module of body accessories. Themodule of body accessories also includes four sub-modules: layout of hinge ofdoor motion, layout of glass regulator, layout and check of tail door support rod,layout of interior handle. At the same time, the system integrates the theories ofKBE, sufficiently utilizing correlative relative knowledge design and expertexperiences in relative fields and using CATIA V5 standard interface, thesystem is good of man-computer interaction and can be used conveniently. Thissystem basically comes to realization of intelligence, increases work efficiencyin car body layout design and is very practical.At last, combining with a new car project of an automobile designcompany, this system is put to check its practicality and feasibility.
