Solar "photovoltaic" power has made great progress and become one of the most effective clean and renewable energy with the energy crisis aggravated of the world. In recent years, with the improvement of the solar cell and power electronics, the development tendency of the photovoltaic system comes toward the greater power , higher power density and higher efficiency techniques. This situation also increases the demand about improving the performance of the key equalizer of the system. This paper is intended to put forward DC/DC converter which is applicated in the equalizer of photovoltaic system, including its familiar topologies, soft-switching and three-level techniques, it being adopted occasions and so on. Simultaneously, for the practicability to photovoltaic system, Buck-Boost TL converter, ZVZCS Boost converter are analyzed and a Boost ZVZCS phase-shifted full-bridge DC/DC converter is proposed in this paper. On the principle of system energy loss minimum, some MPPT methods which is based on the DC/DC converter are summarized. And at the same time, their characteristics are also gived . For the sake of security of system, some simple EMC ways about DC/DC converter be designed. In the end of this paper, with soft-switching DC/DC converter configuration, the solar battery charger system and the transformerless grid-connected photovoltaic inverter system are established .The simulated datas and experimental results of two systems both show that the DC/DC converter attained soft-switching performance while photovoltaic array runned in maximum power point. It enhances the efficiency of the conversion and the density of power.
