Study On Urban Design Of The Railway Station's Front Square

With higher speed development of urbanization and renovation of the cities, reconstruction of the front square of the urban railway station has become a focus attracting wide attentions. The railway projects with fast development have brought not only vigor but also some problems to development of the urban railway stations and their front squares. So, people have been paying more and more attentions to study on the new design theories and methods of the front square. It has realistic significance.Based on the author's understanding and thinking of the above-mentioned problems, the thesis analyses deeply the current conditions and main problems of the urban railway station's front square and reasons from the society and culture. With urban design, urban traffic, urban open space and environmental psychology as the theory base and advanced domestic and foreign experiences as reference, the thesis expounds comprehensively the design theory and construction measures on the traffic, space, facility, culture and ecological systems of the modern urban railway station square.
