With the development of space technology in our country, it demands more and more to lifespan, precision and reliability of satellite, rocket and so on. Gyro is a kernel part of attitude sensitive element and inertial platform system, so its lifespan, performances and reliability affect directly on the control accuracy and lifespan of inertial platform. Two-degree of freedom dynamic tuning gyro instrument has the good points of simple configuration, small size, less power consumption and high precision, so it is widely used in control system. But since dynamic balancing accuracy of the rotatable part (including flexible rotor unit and motor rotor) of dynamic tuning gyro instrument is not very good when it makes a high-speed rotation, which causes a lot of difficulties to improve lifespan, reliability and precision of gyro instrument. Now in domestic, because of non-advanced dynamic balancing methods and weak anti-interference of gyro instrument, it causes big reading errors and non-consistency of products. Therefore the technicians have to do many repeat tests to get reliable data. Specially, in initial setting-up period of gyro instrument, lacking of efficient methods will limit the application of dynamic tuning gyro instrument in satellite with long lifespan, high reliability and precision.According to the development course of gyro rotor dynamic balancing machine, this paper discusses how to satisfy the requirements of gyro rotor dynamic balancing test. It mainly introduces structural principle, dynamic model analysis and balance engineering of gyro rotor dynamic balancing machine. Besides, it also introduces the designs of the program of whole dynamic balancing system, mechanical table, data collecting system, data inspection and analysis according to what users require. After it designed in the method which is inchoduced in this paper, dynamic balancing accuracy of gyro rotor reaches 0.01gmm/kg, which is better than the requirement of design accuracy.This paper has a discussion on design and research of gyro rotor dynamic balancing machine according to some actual projects, so it must have some helps on improving dynamic balancing precision, lifespan and precision of gyro, and widening its application range.
