Base on high efficiency and high power density, a single-stage PFC converter is proposed where an Asymmetrical Half-Bridge DC/DC converter (AHBC) is utilized as a DC/DC cell. AHBC topology allows for a ZVS condition in its complementary PWM driven switches . AHBC topology achieves the effect of Zero Voltage Switching (ZVS) by the resonance of transformer leakage and parasitic capacitance of MOSFET switches. Retaining this property and Synchronous Rectifier in the proposed AC/DC converter enhances its efficiency. In the paper ,the main results are as follows. At first, the present research of single stage Power Factor Correction technology soft-switching technique and synchronous rectifier technique is introduced. The main content of this paper is presented.Secondly, The BOOST APFC topology operating in DCM is studied. The relation of the output Voltage and input Current is discussed.Thirdly, A new topology of Single Stage Asymmetrical Half-Bridge Converter with Synchronous Rectification is presented in this paper. The operation principle of the circuit is analyzed in detail. The operation principle of soft-switching and steady-state analysis is proposed.Fourthly, Chapter 4 gives the power supply design which includes control circuit and main swiches , synchronous rectifier driver. The remarkable experiment result obtained from a 12V/10A prototype show the best feature of this topology. Finally, the paper concludes the research findings, and points out some future research areas.
