In this paper, the types, performance characteristics, the research and application actualities of aminosulfonic-based superplasticizer both in and outside China were introduced in details. Based on the action mechanisms of aminosulfonic-based superplasticizer, its synthesizing methods and development trends were also discussed.Based on the parameters of synthesizing technology of aminosulfonic-based superplasticizers TJ, all factors influencing on the perfomance of TJ were optimized through using mono-factor method. The ratio of phinol and sodium sulfanilate to formaldehyde were reduced.In this paper,the effects of sythesizing concentration change on the water-reducing performance of aminosulfonic-based superplasticizer were studyed. The results showed that the aminosulfonic-based superplasticizer synthesized by the technology of changing concentration in two stages has better water-reducing performance than that obtained by the technology of keeping the same concentration during the whole process. Based on the changing concentration technology, a type of polymer modified superplasticizer was produced. The sythesizing method is that after matrix solution reacts up to definite time,the modifying polymer solution is added,and the synthesizing reaction continues to desired time again.By using mono-factor experiments,the adding method and dosage of modifying polymer solution,the concentration of matrix solution,the ratio of polymer solution to matrix solution were optimized.As a result,the optimum technology was obtained. The water-reducing performance and compatibility with cement of final product obtained ASL-I were better than that of TJ and TJ-Y. Compare with TJ, the cost of ASL-I decreased by 13.2%.Based on the optimum technology for producing ASL-1 ,another modifier urea was also studied through mono-factor method.which included adding method and dosage of urea. The results showed that adding 5% urea together with polymer modifier to matrix solution could get a new type of modified aminosulfonic-based superplasticizer ASL- II, Whose performance was similar to ASL-I, but its cost dropped by2.8 %.
