Xi'an Residential Architecture Regional Style And Natural Characteristic Relation To Primeval Study

It has important significance to advocate the architecture regional style in globalization today. The architecture regional style is one kind of architecture characteristic which architecture combines with indigenous natural environment to show the locally native-born feature, it differs from other styles. The regional architecture is one part of the regional culture and coming from the regional natural environment. Thus, it can best embody the native architecture style and regional characteristic, which has the realistic significance and the practical value under the subject of green and energy-saving today. How to create residential architecture regional style with our tradition and how to develop our architectural culture is the critical issue before each architect, as well as it is the purpose and significance of this study.The main contents of the research are divided into three parts:(l)From the angles of basic composition, objective foundation, character, expression and style evolution, the paper tries to discuss architectural style. The paper analyses architectural style categories, sorts to research the relation between the concrete architectural style elements (group layout, monomer space structure, the overall shape and appearance feature, component) and the natural environment, draw a conclusion that the natural environment influences originally to these elements.(2)The paper discusses architectural style in Xi'an traditional residential architecture, analyses the elements of natural environment such as climate, rainfall, soil, vegetation etc, which directly affect Xi'an traditional residential architectural style during its formation and development. At the same time, the other impacting factors such as economy and technology, patriarchal system, religious belief, custom and habit is also analyzed.(3)The paper divide Xi'an districts architectural style development stage into three parts with comparative analysis and deductive reasoning: First part is the folk house style,which is harmonization with the natural environment in the later Qing Dynasty period before the liberation. Second part is the period which residential architectural style and the natural environment is less associative after China liberation, including fake Su style period, easy style period and mixed style period. Third part is the notional building sets style period, which promotes energy-saving technologies, being development and flack by current land agent. On the base of investigation of Xi'an existing residential architectural style, the paper come to the conclusion that the existing residential architectural style is failure to reflect the local characteristics of natural environment, This is because that natural environment is considered little. With raising the level of science and technology, people can use technology to create artificial pleasant living environment in the architecture, and want to seek the pursuit of exotic architectural style in design.Residential architecture should reflect national, local and traditional from style angle, Firstly we should maintain close contact with the natural environment. Faced with contradictions about the deterioration of natural environment today, and the shortage of resources, architecture can not avoid the natural environment. Finally, the paper attempt to research design technique of local style, on the basis of the summary of the existing Xi'an residential architectural style. It is hoped that the paper is useful to the future architectural design.
