Preliminary Studies On The Design Ideas Of Expressing Regional Characteristic In Modern Landscape Architecture

Regionality is a basic attribute of landscape architecture. however, under the impact of the globalization tide, many landscape architecture works are stereotyped and lose the regionally characteristic through blindly imitating the developed countries' landscape. Therefore the study on the design ideas of expressing regional characteristic has already become an important subject for us. In this article, regional landscape architecture is discussed, the theory of critical regionalism is used for reference, and some representative design works are also anatomized. We can design regional works of landscape architecture from three aspects, natural environment, cultural tradition and technology and the material.
