Research On The Traffic Signal Control System Based On Simulation Optimization

Recently, advanced traffic control system has derived more attention and gets a quick development and application in the world. On the one hand, it is advantageous to improve traffic safety, efficiency and benefit;On the other hand, it is good for use of land resources reasonably, cancellation of the environment pollution and the continual development of national economy. At the same time, traffic simulation has got a widely application along with the development of the computer technology and the transportation theories and produced a good social and economic benefit. Although there are more than ten kinds of commercial transportation software have been developed abroad, it still just start in our country. How to make a correct use of abroad traffic simulation software in circumstance of our country? How to develop the traffic control system according to the traffic status in our country by using traffic simulation software combining with the advanced traffic control technique? This is what we research in this paper.According to the state of our country, this paper study the traffic signal control system based on microscopic traffic simulation optimization , in which advanced control theories, computer technology and communication technology were used. Firstly, this paper analyzes the structure of traffic signal control system based on microscopic traffic simulation optimization. Secondly the paper studies the traffic simulation platform which the traffic control system uses in detail and corrects the simulation model using experimental design method. In addition, this paper studies the key technology that converts the traffic control system into practices. Based on the above theories, the traffic control system is developed. It can be concluded that this system produces preferable social benefit through the practice.
