At present, many asphalt pavements need to be maintained and spread tostrengthen the structure and improve the function of road surfaces, then prolongthe life of asphalt pavement. Along with the consummation of the road networksin our country, the emphasis of roads construction will be transferred to oldroads' maintenance and reconstruction. It's proved to be feasible using grill toreinforce asphalt pavement structure. Study proves that glass-fiber-grill caneffectively diminish the thickness of asphalt pavement, reduce the cost ofpavement, also improve the road-performance.In the paper, combining with actual projects, I will study the technicalcharacter and the application of glass-fiber-grill in pavement structure. Thecontent will involve several aspects as follows.1. According to limited unit method, analyzing the internal force of theglass-fiber-grill in pavement structure when the load effects on the asphaltpavement. To deduce the function rule of the internal force on differentconditions.2. Study the technical character and road performance of glass-fiber-grill,mainly study the function character which glass-fiber-grill acting on delayingasphalt pavement cracking, prolonging the life of asphalt pavement, diminishingthe thickness of asphalt pavement and increasing the ability to resist tracks.3. Combining with actual projects, I will study the application ofglass-fiber-grill in asphalt pavement structure. To validate the function effect ofglass-fiber-grill on increasing asphalt pavement's performance. Furthermore, Iwill also primarily study construction arts and crafts of glass-fiber-grillpavements.
