This thesis is based on the small MAGLEV train of Shenyang Science and Technology Museum. The magnetic suspension device is analyzed, and the accurate mathematic model of magnetic system is set up. By linearizing the mathematic model in the equilibrium point, the author gets the state function and transfer function of the system. On the basis of the mathematic model, the controllability and observability are analyzed, several kinds of controllers such as linear state feedback controller, PID controller, PI states feedback controller are designed for the system. The simulation and the experiments for these controllers are conducted, and the features and performances of each controller are analyzed.An analog PID controller is designed to fulfill the control of the suspension system. The controller has perfect performance in the homopolar magnetic suspension system. The error of displacement is within ±0.05mm, and the curves of the coil current are smooth.With the availability of low-cost, high-speed and high-precision VLSI devices, digital control is being a new aiming direction of maglev control instead of widely used analog technique. So a DTC system via digital signal processor (DSP) is designed in this paper The system use TMS320LF2407A DSP chip which is specialized in motor control system, the chip contains many special modules for motor control, and decrease many peripheral instruments. The Intelligent Power Module is been used for power instrument, its inner protect circuit raise reliability of the system. The software of the system is developed through embedding Assemble Language in C program, such method takes the system readable and transplantable characters. Finally, the paper sums up the insufficiency of whole system and predict the direction of magnetic suspension system as well.
