Switched Reluctance Drive (SRD) is composed of Switched Reluctance Motor (SRM), controller, power converter, position detector and current detector. The SRD has potential due to its advantages. In this paper, the one controller drive two SRMs control system was researched which used in electric traction motor system.Base on Fundamental equation of SRM, we get flux linkage curve of SRM by the method of finite element analysis, and then, used this curve to built model of SRM by MATLAB/SIMULINK. The model that built by this method is more direct and more accurate than which build by linear or nonlinear equation. The electrical machinery movement characteristic was simulated and analyzed, and the plan of the new one-drive-two SRD control system was proved feasibility through the researching of SRD system model. And also the period of developing SRD control system was reduced.In the designing of hardware about one-drive-two SRD system, we used DSP TMS320F2407 as the controlling chip and two SRMs (500W) as controlled objects. The designing of control system was speeding up because that DSP has rich periphery circuit and formidable computation function. Therefore, we can use one DSP to control two SRMs. The power converter is based on"lest switch structure". And is composed of Intelligent Power Module(IPM) which has highly integration, good performance and flexible control. The IPM makes switch components and drive circuits in one chip, and it also has many protective functions. So it makes the whole design more steady and more succinct.We implemented the modularization programming method to design the whole software system through assemble language. It makes program has better versatility and better readability. We used PID control primarily and speed closed-loop control way to achieve our purposes about stable starting, fast brake, current chopping control(CCC) and angular position control(APC).
