Although bridge bearings form a small proportion of cost in a bridge project, which often not enough attention have being paid on . Bearings are significant component of a bridge. There are all kinds of damages on the use stage, such as bearings invalidation, beams skidding and bearings breakage. These phenomenon are quite severe for inclined bridges and curved bridges. These results the loading difference between theory and practice, then affect the use of a bridge. So it is necessary to chose the style of bearings , to layout them reasonably to extend the live of which. Moreover, with a great number of old bridge bearings to replace , this problem needs to be solved urgently.This paper gives a summary of methods of bridge bearings arrangement and replacement and a deeply analysis of the reasons why result the beam's skidding on the basis of the Shang Zhi highway-railway crossing bearings replacement project. Then researches on many supposed cases to determine which is more reasonable. This paper pays more attion on the principle of steel carrying pole bearing replacement method and by which the program is redesigned.A bearings replacement construction system is designed too,by which we can work out reasonable construction techonologyies to ensure the beam's consistent lifting-up.This paper also analyzes the cost and key technological measures for steel carrying pole method. From the researches and analysis of the project, we can conclude that steel carrying pole method is a reasonable method for bearings replacement without the interruption of tranportation. It has a better social and economic benefits. The original design results in the skidding of beams, several factors contribute to this problem, like the irrational layout of bearings, fixed bearings are not enough etc. The fifth repairing program is the more reasonable one. This paper apply MATLAB language to program a lateral force distribution program of continue beam bridge on the basis of integrated stiffness method. This program can determine the longitudinal loading act on the rubber bearings. It is reliable and precise to some extent and can be adopted in design process.
