As a mechanical transport installation, ropeway meets the needs of varied topography. Ropeway has been brought into play in traffic, metallurgy, coal, chemistry, building materials, water and electricity, forestry, agriculture, tourism etc. and be widely used all over the world. But, the safe condition of ropeway is not optimistic. This has to think the safety of ropeway deeply. Therefore, we should test ropeway again and again and ensuring parameter's scope and condition, which will provide the important theory basis in the future.According to the design rules for circulating fixed rope grips monocable passenger ropeway (GB/T13677—92), this paper choose the design parameter and achieve the whole structural design of circulating fixed rope grips experiment monocable ropeway including the design of driving tower and driven tower, middle tower, tension equipment and control system. Firstly, selecting the basic parameters of the structural design, and then analyzing driving tower and driven tower by ANSYS software of finite element analysis, and carrying through structural strength checking in the most adverse operational situation. The main checking content of the middle tower includes: slenderness ratio, shear stresses, torque and overall stability and local checking. Control system adopts the control method of industrial control computer and MCGS software, real-time show due to the calculations and partly curve of deflection.According to the specific request of the teaching and the scientific research, this experiment ropeway may test parameters in the different load weight, the different load span, the different load quantity, the different deflection during guaranteeing ropeway structural integrity and usability, and showing the corresponding variable relations and curve promptly, really and accurately.
