Xi'an City is widely covered with the loess, and the deep footing groove project starts relatively later. The research on the slope destruction mode of deep footing groove is very low. These reasons restrict the development of excavation and shoring technique to a certain extent. So it is very necessary to research the character of soil, the layer structure of soil, and the destruction model of deep footing groove slope. According to the different layer structure of soils, the logical types of destruction model are established. These modes can offer the referenced value to forecast the slope destruction of deep footing groove , optimize and choose the shoring mode.Based on the analysis characteristic and applicability of several numerical methods using in the rock-soil engineering field at present, the basal theory, the basal mode, numerical methods of FLAC3D and the merit applied to the research of the rock-soil engineering are introduced. According to the partitions of physiognomic cells in Xi'an, the engineering geologic character of six types primary soils which are on the different physiognomic cells is analyzed, and seventy kinds of typical layer structure of soils and their distributing range are summed up. Contraposed to six kinds of layer structure of distributing abroad soils, the footing grooves that depth are 6m, 10m, 15m and 20m are analyzed by numerically simulation . By analyzing the simulative results, the destruction models of the deep footing groove slope are divided in terms of the dynamic process and the form of destruction faces. The destruction models which can be classified three groups in terms of the dynamic process are brought forward, which are slippage, sitting fall and slippage.
