With the development of precisely guided weapons, the requirement on information processing techniques for precise guidance is becoming higher and higher. In the family of precisely guided weapons, TV-guided weapon system is one of the widely used precise guided weapons. TV-guided weapon system is based on image processing, automatic control and information science. It extracts the location information of missile image from TV image, and guides the missile to attack the target.This dissertation's focus is on the investigation of the design and implementation of real-time multi-target capture module and distance operation coprocessor, which are implemented with FPGA .Firstly, we focus on the task analysis, module partition, design and implementation of sub-module, the simulation based on TEXTIO package, simulation, verification, and performance estimation for real-time multi-target capture module. To improve the processing performance of real-time multi-target capture, filter in a row, line detector of target image and targer match processing module are proposed and discussed. A method of simulation based on TEXTIO package is proposed,which properly solves the problem of huge testvectors in complex digital system's simulation.Secondly, the definition of distance operation and the necessity of the implementation based on FPGA are discussed firstly. The focus is placed on module partition, sub-module's design and implementation, simulation and verification. In the end of the chapter,we estimate the performance of the design and work out the conclusion. As a result of the successful applicaion of shift bit processing and meliorative Look-Up Table, the design for distance operation coprocessor saves many logic sources of FPGA.In the end of the dissertation,the investigation is reviewed and the expectation of design is presented.
