With the increasing development of highway construction in our country, to control the highway slopes effective is an important question to ensure the highway working smoothly. The retaining structures used presently to control highway slopes are such as retaining wall, retaining piles, anchor and anti-slide piles with pre-stressed anchor cables, which developed in the near decades years, and so on.. It is proved by research and practice in the projects that the piles with pre-stressed anchor cables is an effective measure to control the highway slopes, which is a flexible retaining structure and of the characteristics of bigger retaining strength, less alleviating disturbance to the slopes and making best use of the self-stabilization of the soil strength in the slopes. However, it is still lack of enough research.First, the mechanic characteristics of the anti-slide piles and the pre-cables structure is bring into account, the same as the calculation ways. Meanwhile, the advantage and disadvantage of the calculation ways and a serial questions existed in the projects are systemically discussed. Farther the anti-slide mechanics of the anti-piles with pre-stress cables is analyzed. Based on the presupposition of the transmutation harmony of the system of the anti-piles with pre-stress cables, the internal force of the anti-piles and the cables and the pre-stress of the cables are deeply discussed, the same as the free length of the cables. At the end, a serial calculation ways of the internal forces of the anti-slide piles and cables and the pre-stress of cables are bring forth on the base the analyses of the above.Furthermore, a spot experimentation of the anti-slide piles and the pre-stress cables are deeply discussed. Meanwhile, the anti-slide piles and the pre-stress anchor have been monitored respectively with the instruments of reinforcing steel bar and instrument of the anchor, gaining some wholesome data. The characteristics of the anti-slide piles stress is analyzed with the data arrived from the instruments, acquiring the slide surface of the tested area and providing the foundations for the distortion-stability of the slope.The key problems and construction attentions and monitoring methods of construction are analyzed in details in the paper because of the complication of construction and the demands of construction technique.
