| As an effective method of reducing the noise of diesel engines, exhaust silencers have been used in ships widely. How to design the silencers according to special situations, reasonably and efficiently, has been studied widely. But the test facilities for the theoretical analysis of silencers are not enough in present. And silencers have to be studied by field test, which spends too much with respect to money and labour. It is significant to design and build a test bed for the acoustics and dynamics performance study of marine diesel engine exhaust silencers. So that job is done under all the above background in this paper. First, several projects layed according to the test bed's performance requirements and the field conditions are given and discussed about the disposal and construction of the test bed, and then a better one is chosen. Second, the detailed structures of each part of the test bed are introduced, and put in practice. Two high pressure centrifugal fans are used to generate wind. And a combustor aero-turbine serves as a burning gas generator. They can satisfy the requirements of the test bed on flow and pressure loss. Temperature and flow of the exhaust gas are controlled by two types of control systems including automatic one and manual one. There are also two responsable control programs. One is the room temperature gas program and the other is the high temperature gas program. There is only one variable including flow in the room temperature gas program, so it is easy to realize. There are two variables including flow and temperature in the high temperature gas program which are also deep coupling. So the high temperature gas program is more difficult to realize. The measuring system is reasonable which can get parameters of the gas in the duct and of the silencers accurately. It can satisfy the requirements of the experimental analysis and the control system for... |
