As a power plant for underground auxiliary trackless transport vehicles,due to the particularity of the working environment,there is necessary for exhaust system to prevent the spread of flame and cooling exhaust gas.The explosion-proof components are installed in the exhaust system which includes the water jacket exhaust pipe,the exhaust flame arrester,the water jacket bellows and the wet scrubbers in order to protect the safety of underground work.There is greater influence on engine dynamic and economics because the fire arrester and the wet scrubbers produce greater exhaust resistance.Therefore,it is very important to improve the performance of the flameproof diesel engine by optimizing the structure of exhaust explosion-proof components to reduce the resistance of the exhaust system.Based on a certain type flameproof diesel engine,this paper analysis the influence of explosion-proof components on engine performance through the data of engine bench test.Then,the flow characteristics of the exhaust fire arrester and the wet scrubbers are simulated and analyzed,the improvement measures of reducing the resistance of the exhaust system are put forward,Which provides a reference for the improvement of exhaust explosion-proof components.The main research contents are shown as follows:1)The structure and function of the explosion-proof components of flame arrester and wet scrubbers in the exhaust system are introduced and the bench tests are carried out with installation of different explosion-proof components.According to the results of experiments,the paper analysis the influence of the explosion-proof auxiliary device on engine dynamic and economics.Based on the domestic and foreign current researches,the scheme of optimal design of flame arrester and wet scrubbers are put forward.2)In order to investigate the influence of the height of the slit of the corrugated flame arrester,the wall temperature and the flame inlet speed on the quenching distance of the flame,the quenching process of the flame in the slit is simulated by FLUENT software,which provide theoretical and engineering guidance for practical application of the corrugated flame arrester.3)Without changing other components of the exhaust system,the bench test with the corrugated flame arrester is carried out according to the experiment scheme.The influence is compared with tests results of the corrugated flame arrester and the flat flame arrester on the engine exhaust resistance and performance.4)According to the experimental data,it is easy to simulate the actual flow of the flat flame arrester and the corrugated flame arrester with FLUENT software.Then the pressure distribution,velocity distribution and turbulent kinetic energy distribution of the two kinds of flame arrester are observed,and the different flow resistance reasons of flame arrest are analyzed.5)The FLUENT software and the multiphase flow model are used to analyze the flow characteristics of the wet scrubbers.On this basis,the modified design scheme of wet scrubbers is proposed and verified.
