In order to make a thorough research on sequential turbocharging diesel engine and the electrically controlled system, we plan to build the TBD234V12 sequential turbocharging diesel engine test bed, the monitoring system is the important constitution of this test bed. This paper initially establishes the monitoring system of the test bed, arranges the accessory equipment in the laboratory and designs the intake and exhaust system for the sequential turbocharging diesel engine.Firstly, we transform the TBD234V12 diesel engine into sequential turbocharging diesel engine using four turbochargers. In this paper, the original two J100 turbochargers are replaced by four J68 turbochargers, the original pulse charging system will be transformed into the constant pressure charging system, and continue to use the original intercooler. In order to set apart some. places for the new turbochargers and the new intake and exhaust pipe, we make some adjustment on the structure of the diesel engine.The design of the hardware of the monitoring system is the key point of this paper. Firstly, we determine the specific monitoring parameters and the sensor model, and make the detailed analysis for the sensor choosing principles and measuring principles. Then we discuss the composition, the principles and the realization ways of the distributional CAN bus-based monitoring system for the sequential turbocharging diesel engine test bed. The monitoring system takes MCU as the core, the CAN bus as the communication medium, and realizes data acquisition of the test bed as well as the control of actuator. Through the CAN interface and PC-CAN adapter, we realize communication between the CAN node and the PC. Detailed acquisition method and the circuit are presented in this paper.The software design is also the key to the monitoring system.
