The medical video image collection and transmission (MVICT) system is especially designed a hardware and software system for managing medical video images in order to collect, compress, search, transmit, display, edit and copy video images. Its aim is to integrate itself into the PACS system and supply a more effective system to collect, copy, edit and transmit digital video images than ever.Following the entire design for the MVICT system, in this subject we used kilo-mega network, wireless local network, database, video on demand, video broadcast, firewall, safety monitor and network anti-virus technologies, upgraded the network environment and built sub-systems for collection, storage and VOD. We mainly developed system database manager software, and integrated all sub-systems into the MVICT system, and accomplished the initial application of the MVICT system in clinical teaching and scientific research. Of the thesis is as follows:1) A safe, stable and rapid network environment is implemented through upgrading and establishing the kilo-mega network, constructing the wireless local network, outfitting firewall network hardware, network management software, network application response time monitor soft and anti-virusnetwork software and configuring network environment and servers.2) The MVICT system is accomplished through designing the system's...
