With the rapid development of embedded hardware and software, more and more easily access to the Internet, the traditional security and surveillance area are evolving in the direction of high-definition, intelligent and networked. Moreover, people start to pay more and more attention on the public security area, making the overall video surveillance industry has great prospects for the future. A large number of security vendors have launched their own high-definition network camera, focusing on the concepts of high-definition, intelligent analysis, cloud, etc.High-definition network camera, as a relatively independent Internet product, involve relatively complete embedded hardware and software design technology. The image sensor and the data processing unit are the two major component of the system. The simplified data flow include sensor data acquisition, raw image data pre-processing, video compressing, storage and network transmission, etc.This subject mainly works on the DM368platform which is aimed to achieve the key feature of video compressing, storage and network transmission for the high-definition CCD IPCamera project. The overall design scheme of FPAG+SOC structure is applied. The front-end is the CCD image sensor of KAI-02150drived by the FPGA platform and the back-end is the DM368video processing subsystem. The major part of this paper will focuse on the DM368platform, talking about the hardware and software design for the DM368subsystem in detail, and additional work of the wide dynamic range image enhancement algorithm based on the FPGA font-end. The DM368hardware design contains ISIF interface, HDTV interface,100/10M Ethernet interface, SD card interface, UART communication interface, JTAG interface, DDR, Nand Flash and the power module. While, the DM368software design is focused on the comprehension of the SDK structure, based on the MontaVista Linux OS, implement the driver for the digital signal from FPGA, implement the video encode module, implement the RTSP server based on Live555, implement the client software, etc.
