The control of the development and spread of the fire in the enclosure is the focus of the fire science field. Therefore it is paramount to analyze the regularity of the fire characteristic parameters of materials in the enclosure.The backgrounds and present status of fire science field was summarized,estimate achievements about the temperature of smoke layer, the heat release rate and flashover were introduced , base on the theory of the quality equilibrium, energy equilibrium, fire dynamics and heat transfer, the predictive formula of hot smoke layer was deduced in this paper. According to the standard of'ISO 9705 Full-scale room test for surface products',the wood crib fires of different fire load were carried in ithe ISO 9705 test room.At the same time, the variation of heat release rate, temperature profile of smoke layer and change of contribution of CO/CO2, the temperature profile and the pressure difference distribution at the doorway were analysed and studied and the comparison between the test result of wood crib in the ISO 9705 test room and the CONE calorimeter test data of wood was carried, the change regularity of heat release rate under the different heat flux was analyzed based on CONE data. The conclusion was drawn as follows:(1) With the fire load incresase, the combustion of wood crib shows the transition from the fuel-control stage to ventilation-control stage.At the stage of fuel control, the heat release rate increases with the increase of fuel; At the stage of ventilation-control, the HRR doesn't increase obviously.This illustrated in the limit spaces, fire would transition from fuel control to ventilation control when the fuel quality increase.and heat release rate would not increase with the fire load increase.(2) Through the analysis of wood crib fires in the full-scale room, the change regularity of the heat release rate with the increase of fire load is :the peak HRR and average HRR assume the tendency of linear increase with the increase of fire load.(3) Through the fire retardant treatment; the heat release rate of wood will decrease dramatically. Therefore, through the fire retardant treatment the totao HRR could be decreased, and it is useful to prevent the occurence of flashover.(4) In the full scale room test, the heat release rate curve will appear two peak value,this result is in accordance with the result of CONE calorimeter.At the fuel control stage, the peak value increase with the increase of fire load for the two value .At the stage...
