The subway fire issue has attracted more and more attention from the public as the rap-id development of urban subway construction. In this paper, the study by the heat release rate calculation method for metro vehicles, mainly analyzes the feasibility of numerical simula-tion methods and heat release statistics applied to metro vehicle heat release rate calculation, and make statement of the applicable scope of each calculation methods, the results can pro-vide a reference for future study on metro vehicle heat release rate.Firstly, conducted the systematic analysis on metro vehicle heat release rate calculation method to determine the heat release rate calculation method of this paper, and subway trains combustible material cone calorimeter test, measuring the calorific value of the combustible materials and heat release rate, to provide the basic data for the study of each calculation methods.Secondly, building the calculation model of metro vehicle heat release rate, through the research of numerical simulation calculation method to verified the feasibility of this method for calculating the heat release rate for metro vehicle, and analysis and compares the influ-ence of different materials of heat release rate change process heat for metro vehicle releas-ing rate.Subsequently, the application of numerical simulation method explained the advantages of the numerical simulation method used in metro train fire heat release rate calculation, at the same time, the heat release rate of metro trains in the static state of the tunnel is also studied. Finally, the study of heat release rate statistics, confirm the rationality of this method and the applicable scope, provide the evidence for metro vehicle fireproof design and the selection of combustible materials.
