The Research Of Linear Members In Construction Of Architectural Form

It is well known that point, line, plane and volume are the prime generator of form. These abstract and prime generators establish a way of understanding form. As for architecture, the research of its construction to form can be carried through these abstract and prime generators. In the architecture, it is different that these generators are in three dimensional space, so they evolve to the entitative generators of the characteristics, such as contents, shape and texture...etc. As one of these entitative generators, the linear members is researched how to construct architectural form in this paper. The focal point is to investigate characters of construction, constitution of form and construction of space, then scoop out the deep meaning that linear members construct the architectural form.
